When
developing components for real world sport compact applications,
our 1993 Civic hatch back does the job. This car is very similar to
many of our customer's cars. With basic ZEX components, we have
had the car as fast as a 13.31 e.t. at 100 mph with it's D16Z6 engine.
While the car is not much show, it's all go! Future plans for the
car are a B18C GSR engine swap. This will allow us the opportunity
to continue our camshaft development and nitrous testing for this very popular
engine. No doubt,
the car will be solidly in the 12's with this new combination. |

| 12 Second 1993 Honda Civic DX hatchback UPDATE Our 1993 Civic hybrid hatchback continues to show what can be accomplished with easily installed ZEX™ performance components. To conduct camshaft development for the DOHC B-series V-TEC Honda engines, we swapped in an Integra GSR engine. This replaced our SOHC V-TEC engine, and provided a whole new level of performance for our shop car. After development had been completed, our ZEX™ 57200 camshafts made an additional 19hp over the stock GSR cams! This brought our all-motor power to 170hp at the wheels, up from the stock 151hp. With the 75 hp jets installed in the ZEX™ 82011 nitrous system , the car made a whopping 237 hp at the wheels. This provided enough horsepower to push the car to a 12.85 e.t. at 107mph on it's first time to the race track! This is the kind of performance that will have your competition running scared!
